About Me

A Friend of Mom's was created in my heart long before becoming an idea and eventually a business.I had my first child at the age of 22. I had a very strong support system surrounded by lots of love. Fast forward to having my second child four years later and life as a single parent became very challenging without that same support system. I was a single, working parent, attending college, and trying to maintain a household with one school aged child and one babbling in my ear. (He still does this!). I graduated from UNT Dallas in 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice. I began working for the Department of Family Protective Services because of my strong love and passion I have working with children. My years of service was very fulfilling because I am passionate about the development and positivity in children's lives. I consider myself to be the ultimate motivator of people. But I went from one job working 12-hour shifts that required me to leave home at 5am to an 8am-5pm job battling morning and afternoon traffic daily. One problem remained with both and that was that my children still needed safe and reliable transportation. That's when it hit me, "start a shuttle service!" From there, A Friend of Mom's was born.
